NeveCampbell.jpgNeve Campbell is joining one of the Vivaldi biographical films as a Venetian courtesan. She's joining the film with Joseph Fiennes, Gérard Depardieu, Jacqueline Bisset, Lena Headey, Malcolm McDowell, Elle Fanning and Carice van Houten, making it a huge cast. The film, according to Variety through Coming Soon, is about Antonio Vivaldi's early life, when he was a young priest who became a music teacher at a school for illegitimate daughters of the courtesans of Venice. Now there's a job. What a cracking cast this is.

Anne Heche is replacing Jennifer Jason Leigh on the romantic comedy Spread. According to The Hollywood Reporter through Coming Soon Leigh was set to play the character but dropped out a few weeks ago. Heche joins Ashton Kutcher in the film and they will play a womaniser and the scorned lover...I'm not sure which way round that will be, but I presume Kutcher will be the womaniser. Maybe. I have to say that this isn't screaming strong casting to me.

DermotMulroney.jpgDermot Mulroney has joined Run for Her Life, another organ harvesting film which tells the story of a District Attorney, played by Mulroney, whose daughter needs new lungs. However he finds that she's very low on the U.S. waiting list and heads to Mexico to buy his way higher up it. However he comes to a critical point, according to The Hollywood Reporter through Coming Soon, when he has to chose between his daughter's life, or saving hundreds of lives of innocent children who are being slaughtered for their organs. Sounds a pretty powerful thriller, and I'm glad this wasn't going to be another science fiction version of the idea.

Tim Allen is set to direct his first film according to Reuters through Yahoo News, and it's a comedy. Crazy on the Outside is a comedy about an ex-con who returns to the real world and finds that life out here is really rather challenging. Ray Liotta, Carrie-Anne Moss, Julie Bowen and Kelsey Grammer are apparently all in negotiations, and I find that surprising for his first outing as director, well apart from an episode of Home Improvement - everyone bark.
