Prince of Persia cast as Prince of Persia?...
According to IESB through Cinema Blend the casting for the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time film has taken an interesting turn. The studio have been polling audience members to find out who their ideal choice for the role would be, and most people seem to be voting for an unknown, and an actual Persian Prince at that.
David Zandi is a member of the Iranian royal family and is also a Hollywood producer, has been picked out as being the favourite for the role. It also helps that he looks like the character a hell of a lot, but the Persian Prince connection is almost too good to pass up.
Berg confirmed for Dune…again...
Peter Berg is being confirmed as directing a new film version of Frank Herbert's Dune novel (Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com
) , which we already had confirmed from Berg himself. According to Variety this will be a faithful adaptation of the original novel and not of the previous film or mini-series. What a cracking choice for directing the film, I'm definitely looking forward to this one and I think it's going to be much better than the David Lynch version.
