Tropic Thunder teaser trailer
Here's a tiny trailer in all senses of the word, and one that needs to be watched a couple of times because there's so much crammed into that tiny screen.
Tropic Thunder is the latest comedy starring a big name cast of Tom Cruise, Robert Downey Jr., Nick Nolte, Tobey Maguire, Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Matthew McConaughey, and so on down the list. Overall there are loads of names associated with the film, including some lovely ladies.
Tropic Thunder tells the story of a group of actors filming a war film in a jungle in some war torn country, and they're accidentally mistaken for their real characters – I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, Three Amigos – and are asked to help out a group of people and save them using all the skills of their characters, but none of their own since they're really spoiled actors.
You can see the teaser trailer over at IESB [Flash:Embed] in that very small size which is almost too small to get through all those busy shots, but I have to admit I found the ending line hilarious, genuinely.
I don't mean that “hilarious” that people band around when advertising a comedy, just because it has the current big names of comedy in it, or because it's that usual unintelligent, overused, American style comedy. Oh no, I mean this in a new and well written hilarious way. Oh yes, I laughed out loud, and that's not something that usually happens for me with anything associated with Ben Stiller.
