Watchmen character stills online

Watchmen-Comedian.jpgNot only are there some pictures of the Watchmen characters in various poses demonstrating their talents, but the stills show the style of the film and how the picture will look, unless they've chosen a completely different style for the character photos, which I seriously doubt.

It's hard to describe the style of it, a little less than 300 (Filmstalker review) it would seem, and the pictures show us the Comedian, Nite Owl, Ozymandias, Rorschach and Silk Spectre, oh and boy does she look good.

In fact they all look good. There is certainly a departure from the comic book in terms of style, but then that's the leap to film. However I think if you're going to see Watchmen on the big screen then there's not many ways it would work, and it looks like this will.

Over at Coming Soon they have the pictures for Jeffrey Dean Morgan as The Comedian, Patrick Wilson as Nite Owl, Matthew Goode as Ozymandias, Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach, and Malin Akerman as Silk Spectre.

Go and have a look and see what you think. I have to say there are little things that aren't quite the way I was expecting, but they are little things here and there, like Comedian looking a little less gristled than I expected, Nite Owl a little thinner and leaner, Osymandias is looking pretty good though, and Rorschach is spot on and Silk Spectre looks damn hotter than I expected, although she does look like she could snap at any second!

Have a look at the pictures and see if you think that they've captured your Watchmen, and what about that background style?

Fantastic! It's looking good so far...
