Filmstalker's Week 14th to 20th April

Newspapers.jpgThis week Richard reviews Hopscotch, and we get an idea of upcoming competition prizes. There are some great trailers including Street Kings and I Come With the Rain. And in the news Tim Burton talks Batman, and John Favreau and Edward Norton have differing opinions on pre release gossip.

All the competitions are now closed so you should find out soon if you are a winner. Look out for up coming competitions where you could win Walk the Line DVD's, and a pre-release copy of Frank Sinatra's Sinatra at the Movies CD.

Richard reviewed Hopscotch starring Walter Matthau and Glenda Jackson.

There is yet another Speed Racer trailer online.

Recount tells the story of the US Presidential election in 2000.

A couple find themselves in danger in Farmhouse.

Street Kings starring Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker looks like it will be good.

The Babysitters turn into call girls when one teenager gets involved with a married man. One of my favourite actors John Leguizamo and Cynthia Nixon star.

I'm not quite sure what to make of Steve Coogan in Hamlet 2.

My favourite trailer this week is for Josh Harnett's I Come With The Rain. Hartnett plays an LA cop who's sanity is threatened when he catches a sadistic serial killer. He then accepts work as a private investigator in Hong Kong trying to find a man's son. The trailer looks really good.

Brendan Fraser has gone 3D in Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D.

There is also a teaser trailer for Frank Miller's adaptation of The Spirit.

And there is also a trailer and a couple of clips for the short Hungarian film Now You See Me, Now You Don't.

I used to love watching V on TV, now the original creator says a film version is on the cards.

Having already seen a "new" trailer there are also some clips available of Speed Racer.

Tim Burton has been talking about his experiences of making a Batman film, and also what he thinks of the most recent ones.

Zak Penn has been working on a young X-Men script, and may be involved in the Captain America film.

You can have a look at a WALL-E feature.

Jon Favreau has been praising the online fanbase of Iron Man.

While Edward Norton has been telling everyone to butt out when it comes to The Hulk.

The X Files 2 has a title and there is also some news on the plot.

Progress on Terminator 4 may have come to a halt.

To quote Private Hudson in Aliens, "That's it man, game over man, game over!" Sigourney Weaver says that the Alien series of films are finished, and we have Alien vs Predator to thank.
