Lakeview Terrace trailer online in HD

SamuelLJackson.jpgThe trailer for Lakeview Terrace has arrived, the film starring Samuel L. Jackson as the cop who tries to drive out the mixed race couple living next door to him played by Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington, and it looks rather powerful.

It marks the next film from Neil LaBute who's last outing was the terribly conceived and executed remake of The Wicker Man, so perhaps this is some opportunity for him to gain some ground back in his career.

The film looks strong from the trailer, and the performances look excellent from the brief glimpses, but for me that's one of the problems. It became annoying having every single cut in the trailer, of which there are many because the shots are really tightly cut and sometimes little more than a flash, being faded in and out.

Maybe it was just me but I kept being distracted by the fact that it was happening throughout the trailer on every single cut. Maybe that suits and all out action film, but it seemed out of place here.

You can see the trailer for Lakeview Terrace over at Yahoo Movies [Flash:QT:480p:720p:1080p] through Cinema Blend. What do you think of it? I actually think it does look very powerful and the pairing of Jackson against Wilson looks good, and I'm sure it's only the trailer that's causing me concern.

Neil LaBute's Wicker Man is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I'm pissed that everyone told me not to see it. It is AMAZING.
