There are some really interesting images of Heath Ledger's Joker from the new Batman film The Dark Knight that have appeared online, and not only do they reaise a few questions about the character of the Joker and what he's up to, but they also show a closer and more real look at his make up effects.

What I find most interesting is why he's in a policeman's uniform and what that Joker in Batman's outfit is all about.

So why is the Joker disguised as a policeman in his dress uniform and looking as though he's at a funeral firing ceremoniously into the air? What's more is what is he doing dressed as a nurse?!
