War, Inc. trailer and additional scenes

TheCusacks.jpgThe John Cusack starrer War, Inc. has released a new trailer along with a little voiced introduction from the man himself and a few additional scenes from the film afterwards, giving us almost six minutes of footage to ponder over.

A lot of people are saying that this is Grosse Pointe Blank 2 without referencing any of the original characters, mainly because of licensing and such, but I really don't get that feeling from this trailer. Sure some of the actors are there and the lead is similar, but it doesn't feel as sharp.

The previous trailer of War, Inc. I thought was much closer to the Grosse Pointe Blank feel, and I thought it was a much better trailer too.

Have a look at the new trailer and the additional scenes and see what you think.

It doesn't pack the same punchiness of the previous trailer, and it doesn't sell the film as well. Here's the plot I wrote about before:

The film is going to tell the story of a hit man, played by John Cusack, who is assigned to kill the competition of a former US President, played by Ben Kingsley, now running the desert state of some unknown foreign country.

While working the job and using the cover of running a trade show where a local pop star is to get married, played by Hilary Duff, he falls for a reporter played by Marisa Tomei.

Oh, and Joan Cusack plays his assistant. This time though, Dan Aykroyd is playing his boss, not his rival.
