Dawn of the Dead sequel

DawnoftheDeadRemake.jpgThis is the first sequel idea in a while that doesn't make me roll my eyes. The original Dawn of the Dead is my favourite of the Living Dead series, and now there is to be a sequel to follow on from the 2004 version.

When I watched Zach Snyder's Dawn of Dead, I was more than prepared to find something about it I didn't like. But to my surprise I loved it. The claustrophobic atmosphere of the shopping mall was still there, but it also has new elements compared to George A Romero's Dawn of the Dead.

Now HorrorMovies.ca through Movies Online, say that a sequel to the 2004 version has been confirmed. Personally I'd really like Zach Snyder to direct it, and for it to carry on from where the last left off. Might be tricky getting the same cast and director together again though.

wasn't there a film called land of the dead? I thought that was a sequel but it might have been a spin off of types. Can somebody shed some light on this for me i'm just a bit confused. Anyway back to the point.

I really liked land of the dead and even though there are countless "zombie" movies out there this one seemed to be very original and added a whole new aspect to the genre. I just hope the sequel can do the same. Looking forward to watching it.

If I'm right Land of the Dead is the fourth in the series. Preceded by Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead.

Day of the Dead has just been remade with Mena Suvari and Ving Rhames. And then there is Diary of the Dead the most recent one.

Let's hope the new sequel continues to add new dimensions to it, that's what I liked so much about Zach Snyder's Dawn of the Dead. Plus with Day of the Dead already remade recently, it could be a totally original concept. Or maybe I'm asking too much!

I AM A TOTAL ZOMBIE FREAK!!! I CANT GET ENOUGH OF A GOOD ZOMBIE MOVIE. THE PROBLEM IS THAT FOR EVERY GOOD ZOMBIE FLICK IS 10 SHITTY ONES. LOL. FUNNY BUT TRUE. I GREW UP WITH THE ROMERO SERIES AND WHEN DAWN OF THE DEAD 2004 REMAKE CAME OUT I WAS THINKING THE SAME AS EVERYONE. WHEN I SAW IT I WAS VERY SURPRISED. I TOTALLY LOVED IT. IN FACT EVER SINCE I FIRST SAW IT BACK IN MARCH 2004 IT HAS BEEN MY #1 FAV ZOMBIE MOVIE PERIOD!!! THERES JUST SOMETHING ABOUT IT I CANT EXPLAIN I JUST LOVE IT.
YEAH, ROMEROS MOVIES ARE THE SHIT AND I TOTALLY LOVE THEM AS WELL. HE INVENTED THE GENRE SINGLEHANDED AND I GIVE HIM MUCH RESPECT. HIS DEAD SERIES AND BASICALLY INDIRECT SEQUELS AS THEY WERE MADE DECADES APART. NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, DAWN OF THE DEAD, DAY OF THE DEAD, LAND OF THE DEAD, DIARY OF THE DEAD & LASTLY SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD ARE ALL AMAZING FILMS!!! ALSO, SOME OTHER ZOMBIE MOVIES I LOVE ARE: THE HORDE, ZOMBI 2, ZOMBIE 3, DANCE OF THE DEAD, DEVILS PLAYGROUND, THE MAD, ZONE OF THE DEAD, DEAD SET (UK TELEVISION MINI-SERIES), DOGHOUSE, PLANET TERROR, MUTANTS, AND DEADMEAT. CHECK EM OUT IF THERES ANY ON THIS LIST YOU HAVENT SEEN. NONE OF THESE ARE GENERIC OR LOOK LIKE THEY WERE MADE IN MY BACKYARD ALTHOUGH DEADMEAT IS LOW BUDGET ITS COOL. DEAD SET IS AN AMAZING ZOMBIE STORY. IT WAS A UK MINI-SERIES FROM A FEW YEARS AGO. IT SHOULD BE AVAILABLE ON DVD IN USA???I AM SURPRISED ITS NOT. CHEERS EVERYONE!!!!!!! JAMES BURNS
