It seems the casting rumours are over for the lead roles in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The rumour of Jake Gyllenhaal becoming the Prince of Persia has come true.

The Hollywood Reporter through Coming Soon, is reporting that Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton will star in the film adaptation of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing and Mike Newell is directing.

Orlando Bloom was one person originally rumoured for the title role, but then Jake Gyllenhaal was mentioned. This one has turned out to be right, Gyllenhaal will be playing Dastan, and Arterton will be Tamina. So what do you think, have they got the right man for the job?
