Spielberg not ruling out more Indy films

IndianaJones.jpgIndiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has just been shown at the Cannes film festival. We already know George Lucas is up for more Indiana Jones films, but at the post screening press conference Spielberg also said there may be more films, and Harrison Ford seemed to not be that bothered about what the critics thought.

At the press conference Steven Spielberg said this to the assembled journalists about making more Indiana Jones film, and he was quoted on the BBC.

Only if you want more. That's why we made this Indiana Jones. We'll certainly have our ear to the ground to hear what happens. That'll decide were we go from here.

The reaction of critics to the film has been mixed, but mostly good, but Harrison Ford is only interested in pleasing one group of people.

I expect to have the whip turned on me. It is not unusual for something that is popular to be disdained by some people and I fully expect it. I'm not really worried about it. I work for the people who pay to get in - they are my customers. My focus is on providing the best experience I can for those people.

Good on him. So, what we all think of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will determine if there are anymore. Will you be as excited for more if Shia LaBeouf is taking over the series?
