500 Days of Summer has picked up a couple of cast members.

Thor may be losing it's director.

And T4 is going ahead despite the looming threat of an actors strike.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel have joined the cast of 500 Days of Summer. The Hollywood Reporterdescribes the film as an anti romantic comedy:

(It's)an examination of a relationship between a woman (Deschanel) who doesn't believe in love and the man (Gordon-Levitt) who falls hopelessly in love with her.

Sounds like your average rom-com to me...

Matthew Vaughn was attached to the Thor movie but it seems his contract expired in December. It could just be a legal thing that will be resolved, or it may be that scheduling means he won't be able to direct it. News comes from Jo Blo.

Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins started filming on Monday, however with actors and studios not reaching an agreement yet this could be a risky move. Yahoo! Movies report that the team will not be finished by the contract deadline of June 30th. The makers have taken out measures to protect themselves in case of a strike. Let's hope it all works out.
