Stalked: Emily Strange, Ninja Assassin

Emily Strange is to be made into a film.

And Ninja Assassin has started filming.

Forgive my ignorance, but I had never heard of Emily Strange until about 5 minutes ago. From what I can tell the character was created to promote a clothing line by skateboarder Rob Reger. The character has since ended up on clothes, stationary, comic books and novels. Well now Rob Reger is looking around for a film maker to bring the character to the big screen. The news comes from Screenrush. Any Strange fans out there, who would you want to play the character?

Ninja Assassin is officially now filming. The film from Joel Silver and the Wachowski brothers is filming in Germany, James McTeigue is directing. The news is from SciFi Wire, who also have a plot description for this film, which so far has been elusive.

Ninja Assassin follows Raizo (Rain), one of the deadliest assassins in the world. Taken from the streets as a child, he was transformed into a trained killer by the Ozunu Clan, a secret society whose very existence is considered a myth. But haunted by the merciless execution of his friend by the Clan, Raizo breaks free from them and vanishes. Now he waits, preparing to exact his revenge.

There is more of the plot description over on SciFi Wire, but it's bordering on spoilers. If you want to know more head over there. This film sounds good, the vague plot details we'd heard before had me worried. The Wachowski brothers might just have another hit on their hands.
