Stalked: John Cusack,Will Smith,"Revolt"

John Cusack is going to 2012.

Will Smith will produce Sticks.

Youth in Revolt gets some new cast members.

John Cusack has signed on for 2012, a big budget apocalyptic epic from Roland Emmerich. Variety says Chiwetel Ejiofor may also be in it as well. 2010 sees the end of the world as we know it, and follows the stories of the survivors.

Will Smith is to produce Welcome to the Sticks. It is based on the French comedy Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis. In the French version, a post office manager is moved against his will from the South of France to the North, and is not pleased. Ken Stovitz is also producing and said this about their version to Variety:

We will probably place the character in a global corporation, and he literally gets sent to the sticks, but finds that rather than a backward place, it provides all that was missing in his life.

Sounds like another typical vehicle for Smith if he is starring in it.

Youth in Revolt has added a pretty good cast. Variety says Steve Buscemi, Ray Liotta, Jean Smart and M. Emmet Walsh have all joined, with Michael Cera already on board. The comedy sees Cera on holiday with his father (Buscemi), he falls for a girl and spends the trip trying to win her over.
