The Lovely Bones delayed over Heaven?
It seems Peter Jackson has been experiencing some problems during filming of The Lovely Bones. The film's release date may be pushed back until later next year, following a difference of opinion on set.
The Lovely Bones is the adaptation of the book of the same name. A 14 year old girl is brutally murdered, and then watches from Heaven as her family and friends continue with their lives, and try to come to terms with her death. Mark Wahlberg and Rachel Weisz play the bereaved parents.
The rumour from flicks.co.nz through Cinematical, is that it is Heaven that caused the problem, or rather how to depict it on film. Peter Jackson halted filming after failing to agree with an art director on how to portray it. I'm certainly interested to see what they come up with.
This problem during filming could be another stumbling block, following the last minute casting of Mark Wahlberg. But most films have these sort of problems, just usually ones that don't involve halting filming. We'll have to wait until potentially later next year, before we can see what all the fuss was about.
