Adam Sandler turns to horror

AdamSandler.jpgAdam Sandler is best known for his comedy films, in fact he's made a career out of them. But now he is trying horror out for size, and making Shortcut.

Sandler's production company will be making the film, but it's not confirmed if he's starring in it yet. I would hope he is though, it's about time he did something different right?

Shortcut is about a pair of brothers who take a shortcut home one day. It's a shortcut no one in their new town takes very often, and they soon find out why. The news of Adam Sandler's new direction comes from The Hollywood Reporter, and production will start next month.

With a plot like that it could turn into anything really. God knows what's so bad about the shortcut. Creatures? Psycho killers? It's anyone's guess. It's just good to see Sandler try something different from comedy, we'll have to wait and see how good it is. I enjoyed a few of his comedies. Happy Gilmore and Big Daddy weren't bad, and I loved The Wedding Singer, but it got a bit boring seeing him in comedies.

Would you go and see Adam Sandler in a horror film? Or should he stick to comedy? Or should he just stop making films altogether?

Adam Sandler is classic in his own way, though he tends to do his best work when he stays casual, not trying too hard to be funny or deep, etc.
