Anderson wants Resident Evil 4

ResidentEvilExtinction.jpgPaul W.S. Anderson has said that he's keen for another Resident Evil film, and that he's actually approached Sony to start talking about a fourth film.

Of course he says it all depends on getting a great idea for the fourth script, considering Anderson wrote the first three I'm not sure a great idea is needed.

The third film, Resident Evil: Extinction never fully wrapped things up but did leave the series on another huge cliffhanger, so there is scope for another film...don't you think? Certainly Paul W.S. Anderson does when he talked with MTV:

"I’m just starting to talk to Sony about it...I don’t even know if anything will come of it, but there’s a possibility it might happen...I love the ‘Resident Evil’ franchise and we always try to make the best possible movie we can. If we could find a good Resident Evil 4 to make, then we would do it...But I wouldn’t just do it for the sake of it, that’s for sure."

Well heaven forbid you made a half hearted sequel for Resident Evil, I mean the stories are so powerful and compelling. Okay, I'm being sarcastic, but if I was to look deep inside for a moment I'd have to admit that the series is fun and the effects are pretty cool.

Do you think there's space for another zombie film, another Resident Evil? I actually think there might be because what these films are not are straight zombie films, there's a few other things to them, and while not complex Shakespearean pieces, they are good entertainment.
