Anna Faris on Lovelace film

AnnaFaris.jpgWhen a film was announced that would tell the story of Deep Throat actress Linda Lovelace, not many people would have picked Anna Faris for the role, she's got it though and has been giving a little update on the film.

Considering she's more renowned for her comic roles, it's a big departure.

Inferno will tell the life story of Deep Throat actress Linda Lovelace. Having starred in the porn film in 1972, there was much controversy over her treatment during the film. She claimed to have been abused, and then there were counter claims from the film makers. Lovelace turned into an active campaigner for the anti-pornography movement. She died in a car accident in 2002.

Anna Faris told MTV Movies Blog the film is still in development, and hasn't stalled:

We’re still trying to put it together. I’m going to do ['Observe & Report' with Seth Rogen] first, and then hopefully we’ll get together for the summer.I think we’re still working on the money bit.

And for those of us wondering if she has the acting skills to pull it off:

You’re not going to even know who I am. I’m not there right now, but I will be when the time comes. I’ll be in a very dark place.

What in a cave? Oh she's talking metaphorically. She sounds confident enough, there's definitely no shortage of stuff for the film. Let's see what she can do with it. Do you think she can pull it off?
