Mirrors teaser trailer

The teaser trailer for Alexandre Aja's Mirrors is online. Kiefer Sutherland stars in this one, which he took on due to the delay with the 24 film. The film is about mirrors which seem to be a gateway to beyond the grave.

Sutherland is great as Jack Bauer, but I'm not sure what to make of this one. Take a look inside. Surely he could just shout at the mirrors to give him the information. That usually works.

Kiefer Sutherland plays a security guard at a department store, where there have been some unexplained deaths. There has also been a fire in which a woman's sister has died. She tells Sutherland's character that her sister is using the mirrors to get revenge from the other side.

The trailer for Mirrors is below from Rope of Silicon. As I said, I'm not sure what to make of it. It looks like just your average horror, but surely not with Alexandre Aja directing. Have a watch and let us know what you think.

I had a story sketch years ago that this seems to be inspired by. Flies on the wall I tell you. The concept I had was that, they could do physical damage to you if by any angle you reflected.

There were lots of things to consider, to narrow it down such that it had limits, water, lenses, eyes, etc, which was why I shelved it. Let's just say I'll be able to rip this film apart because of all the research I've already done. ;)

Well I don't imagine this was going to be too complex a tale, I mean man sees horror through mirrors in shopping mall. However the trailer teases at a lot more than that, for one where's the shopping mall? I thought it was all going to be there.

I think this looks quite strong, although it might be able to rip it apart the rules. Or maybe they've cracked it Ram?

Hehe .. Scientifically speaking, no chance! Then again they've taken the supernatural route, which to me spells cop-out, but on the flip-sides allows them flexibility. We shall see.
