Stalked: Hugh Grant, Smurfs
Hugh Grant and Zhang Ziyi will star together in Lost for Words.
The Smurfs film is still going ahead.
Hugh Grant will star with Zhang Ziyi in Lost for Words. Grant will play a British actor, what a stretch. He agrees to star opposite a Chinese star played by Ziyi, and begins to fall for the director's translator. Once he realises he's really fallen for Ziyi's character, he finds himself at the mercy of the translator. Who is the only one who can help the two communicate, and uses it to her advantage, obviously with comedic results. The news is from Guardian.
It will mean Grant re-teaming with the makers of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Bridget Jones's Diary, Notting Hill and Love Actually. So we can probably expect humour and buckets of cheese. Not actual buckets of cheese though Richard....
The Smurfs film has been in the works for a while now. But Cinematical say it has now officially moved to Sony and Columbia. The plan originally was for a 3G/CGI Smurfs film, but now the idea seems to be a mix of CGI and live action. Super, can't wait...
