Pink Panther 2 teaser trailer

SteveMartin.jpgNot content with ruining The Pink Panther a few years ago, Steve Martin's sequel Pink Panther 2 is now completed. And lucky us there is a "hilarious" teaser trailer to go with it.

Long gone are the days of Three Amigos! and one of my favourites Parenthood. This looks truly awful.

Pink Panther 2 has Steve Martin as Insp. Jacques Clouseau. He teams up with a squad of detectives from around the globe. The plan being to stop a thief who is stealing artifacts from different countries around the world. You can see the teaser on the offical website, through Coming Soon. You know I don't think I'll be using the "register for updates" button at the bottom.

I know it's only a teaser but Lord, this is so far removed from how I remember the films. Taking on a part made so famous by Peter Sellars is one thing, but doing what looks like a terrible job is another. They've turned the Pink Panther series into just another kids film, which I sure will make them a ton of dosh. Please don't let them make another. Take a look at the teaser, and let us know what you think.

Well heres a great example to go with your feature story, a classic movie having been redone by Hollywood that is utter crap and should never have been made in the first place yet now theres going to be a sequel. I saw the first one and I may have been slightly amused but I certainly wont be going to see this abomination.

Obviously the teaser works better actually watching in the cinema, but it is very... dull? Not funny at all (unless you are 5 years old) and not only is it another nail in the coffin for the Pink Panther series/ Peter Sellar, but Steve Martin himself. He should continue with films like Shopgirl (which I adore) than films like this dribble.

I do hope this film is better than the first, but going by this teaser I can't say there is much hope.

Abomination just about covers it, as does dull!

You're right about the fact that 5 year olds will find it funny. Nothing wrong with making films for kids to enjoy, but that's isn't how I remember the original Pink Panther... What happened to Steve Martin?
