Transformers 2 now has an official title, and not only that but Michael Bay has assured us that there will be no cliffhanger ending to the film. The new title is Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.

So a new title, and you can rest easy when it comes to those irritating endings.

The title for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, comes from Coming Soon. I guess we can expect a character who didn't make it through the first film to make a comeback. Also on Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, Michael Bay has been talking to MTV Movies Blog about the ending to the Transformers sequel. He's assured us there will be no cliffhanger like we had with The Matrix trilogy:

You know how those sequels they do the second one so you go see the third one? ["Transformers 2”] is it. First one was just introducing, setting up stuff, so we can go a lot farther. Let’s just say [this] is not a lame sequel.

Let's hope your right Michael. Sounds pretty good though, a sequel which will progress characters from the first film. And I'm glad there won't be a Matrix style ending, I really didn't think that it worked. What about you, are you happy with the title?
