Mike Myers could be heading back to familiar territory in Austin Powers. A rumour is out that following The Love Guru, Myers is writing a fourth installment of Austin Powers.

I kind of lost interest with the third one, can he make a new one and still keep it fresh? It looks like for the fourth one, he'll be looking at his own life for inspiration.

The rumour of a fourth Austin Powers comes from Deadline Hollywood Daily, through Cinematical. According to the secret source, the next one will be mostly about Dr Evil and his son Scott.

It's very personal with a father and son theme loosely based on his own life

Mike Myers is said to be working on it with Mike McCullers, who wrote Baby Mama and worked with Myers on Austin Powers 2: The Spy Who Shagged Me and Austin Powers 3: Goldmember. With The Love Guru getting a fairly luke warm reception it's no real surprise if he is returning to Austin Powers.

I'm not overly excited at the thought of more Austin Powers films, with the same old jokes. They were fairly funny at the time but I'm not sure I'd be as interested now. Would you be interested in another Austin Powers film? Or have they had their day?
