Ninja Assassin Behind the Scenes online
There's an interesting Behind the Scenes video for Ninja Assassin, the James McTeigue directed and Wachowski Brothers produced film adaptation of the
The film stars Rain, Naomie Harris and Rick Yune and the full blurb is below, along with the behind the scenes footage which looks rather interesting. Bear in mind that this is pretty raw footage though, and it's genuinely behind the scenes.
Here's the full blurb fromt the IMDB listing for Ninja Assassin:
In Berlin, Europol agent Mika Coretti (Naomie Harris) has stumbled upon a money trail linking several political murders to an underground network of untraceable assassins from the Far East. Defying the orders of her superior, Ryan Maslow (Ben Miles), Mika digs into top secret agency files to learn the truth behind the murders. Her investigation makes her a target, and the Ozunu Clan sends a team of killers, led by the lethal Takeshi (Rick Yune), to silence her forever. Raizo saves Mika from her attackers, but he knows that the Clan will not rest until they are both eliminated. Now, entangled in a deadly game of cat and mouse through the streets of Europe, Raizo and Mika must trust one another if they hope to survive and finally bring down the elusive Ozunu Clan.
Now that sounds pretty interesting, and if you're concerned that perhaps the Wachowski curse is hitting again, do bear in mind that James McTeigue is directing, and the last time this team up worked it was for V for Vendetta (Filmstalker review), and that was a damn good film I'd say.
Here's another point to consider for the film success, it was written by Matthew Sand and J. Michael Straczynski.
So is Ninja Assassin looking any good? Well have a look and see what you think, there's no finished footage so it's hard to imagine, but look at those guys racing across the streets and imagine the style looking like V for Vendetta. I think that's promising.
There's also some commentary from both Naomie Harris and Rain, but it's been voiced over in German, so if anyone has a translated version, or could translate what they say and pass on anything interesting, please do.
