Stalked: American Reaper and The Runaways biographical film
The Runaways biographical film will feature Joan Jett, Cherie Curie and Sandy West…
American Reaper comic book adaptation sounds unique…
The comic book American Reaper is about to be written by Pat Mills and Clint Langley, and Mills will also be writing the screenplay and adapting it for the big screen. Mills has previously had successful comic books with Judge Dredd and Marhsall Law.
Accoridng to The Hollywood Reporter, the story is the interesting part, it is set in the future where identity theft is much more than it is today, with elderly rich people paying to have young victims minds wiped so that they can take over their bodies. There's a more sinister side though, as if that wasn't enough, terrorists and criminals are paying to take over other people's bodies for their own motives.
Sounds exciting, and pretty unusual, I'm in.
A biographical film called The Runaways will feature the 1970's female rock band that featured Joan Jett, Cherie Curie and Sandy West of the same name, and is to be directed by Floria Sigismondi who has been known for directing music videos for artists such as David Bowie, The White Stripes and Marilyn Manson.
Variety tells is that the film will follow the band's development, their early days of playing on Sunset Strip, their sudden explosion of fame, and then their disillusionment and breakup.
