Stalked:Alice, Captain Blood

Tim Burton has found his Alice in Wonderland.

And Phillip Noyce is developing Captain Blood.

Tim Burton's long search for an actress to play Alice in his film could be nearly over. Australian actress Mia Wasikowska is in final talks to play Alice in his version of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. She has just completed Defiance with Daniel Craig and has a role in the bio-pic Amelia. Burton's Alice in Wonderland will use both live action and performance capture, and will also be presented in Disney Digital 3-D. The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter.

Phillip Noyce is to develop a modern version of Captain Blood. Based on the book of the same name, the 1935 film starred Errol Flynn as a doctor convicted of treason and sold in to slavery. He escapes and with some of his fellow slaves steals a Spanish ship and become pirates. He's not a cert to direct yet, but it's thought that is the plan. The news is from Variety.
