The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Olympic trailer

TheMummy3.jpgOkay, so it's a blatant advertising link that ignores all the extremely serious politics and human rights issues going on just now in the country and cuts straight to two very important things, big blockbuster The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and the Bejing Olympics.

Not only is there some new footage in this trailer, although seen rather fleetingly, but there's also some clever CGI dissolves to change action sequences in the film into Olympic events. It's all rather clever and the marketing people on both sides have won gold.

I'm still not sure about this Mummy film, not because of the cast changes with Maria Bello, not because of Rob Cohen directing, but because of the whole story uproot from Egypt to China and taking the entire story and just transplanting it. I'm also worried about the whole aspect of training the son to take over from the father, possibly for another three films.

Other than that though it does look like it might be a good action adventure, especially with the addition of Jet Li and the gorgeous Michelle Yeoh.

Here's the trailer for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and the Bejing Olympics:
