Update: Watchmen trailer in HD

Watchmen_Poster.jpgThe Watchmen trailer may have been pulled elsewhere on the Internet, but I still have it here on Filmstalker, and you can see it too if you're quick.

This is finally the film version of the superb and hugely successful and influencial Watchmen comic book, and it looks superb. I have to admit I was concerned for a very long time, and now, seeing this trailer, I think the Watchmen might finally make it on screen and make it on screen dead right.

Zack Snyder looks to have made a wonderful job of his film version of the Watchmen, and if you watch the trailer below and you've read the comic book then you'll be recognising scenes and panels right, left, and well, right there on screen.

It does look wonderful, really. I was mouth aghast at some of the scenes, particularly the appearance of Dr. Manhattan and the amazing rise of his martian building. For the first time in a long time I had shivers at watching a trailer.

Snyder and team, right now you should all be very proud. I can't wait to see the film and my anticipation has just taken leaps and bounds forwards. Honestly, this looks like the comic book has come alive in front of my eyes.

Non-Watchmen fans, what do you think of it, and Watchmen fans, can you really see anything wrong with this? I think it's nigh on perfect.

Update: The trailer is now available in high definition over at Apple Trailers [iPod:S:M:L:480p:720p:1080p], and looking even better for it.

Wow... think I'll be watching that all day :0)

Oh. My. God.

I'm drooling, seriously.

I honestly can't stop going back to watch it another time.

Absolutely G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!

Stunning, totally stunning. I hoped he could pull it off, but I had my doubts but this just pushes all those doubts aside. Roll on 2009! Only 8 months to go ;)

I was the same Wyverex, I didn't think this was going to work out, but it looks fantastic. Let's hope the rest of the film does and the story holds up well.

With a three hour running time, and aiming for a two hour forty-five minute release running time, I don't think we're going to feel short changed!
