Yes Man teaser trailer

Jim Carrey has made a return to comedy with his latest film Yes Man. He plays a guy who always says no to everything, in an effort to turn his life around he challenges himself to say yes to everything for an entire year.

I've always preferred him in comedy roles so it's good to see him back. It does smack more than a little of Liar Liar, but it looks like it might be good for a laugh.

Yes Man stars Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel, and the teaser trailer is below from Yahoo! Movies through Jo Blo.

It certainly won't be stretching Carrey but there is something about him in these kind of roles. Have a look and see what you think. Are you glad he's gone back to comedy for this one, or would you rather he stuck to more dramatic roles?

After the not-so-funny Fun With Dick & Jane, and the mixed bag Number 21, I have missed the old Carey. I have enjoyed the 'serious' Jim Carey films though.

Yeah I really liked what he did in Number 21, even if the writing was awful.

I do believe the best comic actors can make stunning serious actors. Are we forgetting Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind?

My favourite would have to be The Truman Show, a bit of both comedy and drama. Really liked him in that.
