Knowles and Larter battle on screen

BeyonceKnowles.jpgBeyoncé Knowles and Ali Larter are set to go head to head on screen in a film about obsession through love with Idris Elba stuck in the middle.

The film Obsession stars Knowles and Elba as a married couple with Larter a temp at his work, she falls for Elba's character and soon the hackles are up.

Idris Elba describes the film as similar to Fatal Attraction, very much a thriller, and he reveals that Ali Larter will be the one who is being the obsessive stalker in this love triangle, trying to pull him from his wife, played by Beyoncé Knowles.

The news that Knowles is playing a purely dramatic role comes from MTV Movies Blog, and it sounds like the next big test in her career, taking on a leading role that has no singing part in it. Clearly she's heading for the full on acting career.

Why not you have to ask, for her appearances to date have been good, but this will probably be the big indicator to all. I think if she proves she can pull off a full dramatic lead there will be no stopping her in Hollywood and she'll be straight on the the first choice list for numerous films.

What do you think? Are you Obsessed over Beyoncé's acting too, or are you excited about the Larter-Beyoncé face off?

You know, if I'm being honest, I'm more excited about seeing Ali Larter in a dramatic role. I haven't seen her in film, or rather I haven't really paid attention, until I saw her in Heroes where she's been exceptional. As an actress she has to turn her character on a penny (I'm from Scotland, we don't have dimes here!) and she pulls it off so well. I've taken to her character and her conflicts in a way that another actress probably couldn't have managed. Oh, and she's stunning too!
