Robert De Niro could be joining Mel Gibson in Edge of Darkness. Gibson is already playing a police investigator who's daughter is killed. His investigation uncovers corruption in the Government and business. Coming Soon say that De Niro will play an operative sent to clean up evidence.

Martin Campbell is directing the film, having also directed the BBC mini-series which it is based on.

Variety say that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will now no longer be released in summer 2009. It has been moved back to late May 2010. The new date means there will be more time for post production, but it will also mean it isn't competing with Transformers 2. The videogame adaptation has already stared filming in Morocco, and will star Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton, Ben Kingsley and Alfred Molina.
