New Regency has dropped Voltron and it looks like Relativity Media will pick up the film and continue with it. What that means in simplistic terms is a much smaller budget for the film and the talk is to do much more CGI work on a par with 300 (Filmstalker review), but still keeping a very small budget. Meanwhile the director of the Fame remake, Kevin Tancharoen, has revealed that the only things that will be taken across onto the remake are the story idea and the original theme, all the other music will be written afresh and there won't be any of the original stars coming on board.
