Previously on Filmstalker I posted the teaser trailer for The Mutant Chronicles and then the Russian trailer for the film, well now the English version of that Russian language trailer has appeared online.

With these two trailers I thought that the film didn't look that great and the stylistic effects were overpowering the story. However with this trailer I think I might be changing my mind.

The Mutant Chronicles has an interesting cast, Thomas Jane, Ron Perlman, Devon Aoki, Sean Pertwee, Benno Fürmann, John Malkovich,Steve Toussaint, Shauna Macdonald, and so on. Here's a quick blurb of what the film is about:

“The story goes that the world is ruled by corporations, and with the resources of Earth totally depleted, the corporations fight amongst each other for control of what little is left. During a battle an ancient temple is destroyed and a new enemy is released, the necromutants that have blades of bone which grow out from their arms.

A book called the Chronicles details the rise of the mutants and predicts someone called the Deliverer who will travel deep into the mutant tunnels beneath the Earth and destroy them. A priest holds this book and believes that he is the one to save the Earth, and he takes a small team of men with him to carry out the dangerous task. One of these men is Mitch, a Capitol corporation soldier who was the lone survivor of human's first encounter with the creatures.”
