Closed: X-Files: I Want to Believe competition
I've just been given some X-Files goodies to run a Filmstalker competition with, and I'm sure this one will entice a lot of entries.
To help promote the new X-Files film, X-Files: I Want to Believe (Filmstalker review), Filmstalker has an X-Files Essentials DVD to give away as well as ten copies of the new X-Files: I Want to Believe novelisation of the film to win. That's a total of eleven X-Files prizes to be won.
The first prize is The X-Files - Essentials on DVD, a special collection of eight episodes of The X-Files specially selected by Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz, so that'll be something special. A two disc DVD which contains the following episodes:
Pilot from Season 1
Beyond the Sea from Season 1
The Host from Season 2
Clyde Bruckmans Final Repose from Season 3
Memento Mori from Season 4
Post-Modern Prometheus from Season 5
Milagro from Season 6
Bonus features: 2008 theatrical trailer; Wondercon talent panel session
The next ten prizes consist of the novelisation of the X-Files: I Want to Believe (Filmstalker review) film which is written by Max Allan Collins, a New York Times bestselling author who has been called Mystery's Renaissance Man. It's the novelisation of the film that X-Files fans have been waiting for, and you can win a copy right here on Filmstalker.
To win it's pretty simple. First of all you have to be a UK resident in order to enter, and then all you have to do is answer this question and email it to me here at Filmstalker (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your full postal address. Oh, and mention if you'd like to be in the running for the DVD - if you do and someone else wins, you'll automatically be in the running to win the novel, unless you state otherwise.
What do you want to believe?
Easy isn't it? Just answer that question with whatever you like and I'll pick the winners with the most interesting or funniest answers that come in. Simple as that.
Again the competition is for UK residents only and will close on the 18th of August 2008. Good luck.

"What I want to believe:- Essentially man is the most advanced of all of this worlds creatures, this is because as a human we act as a host from a superior force of extra terrestial proportions, we have advanced as a species far too fast compared with the evolution of other species and as one of the only species that exists to create, entertain, cry and be able to work in a way with free thought and decision like no other creature there must have been some form of intervention in our evolution. We are being guided by Alien/Supernatural forces in a manner to develop ourselves into our true ancestors, evolve as a terrestial species within our physical host and then on a spiritual side we then leave the body, much like a maggot turning to chrysalis before becoming a fly, we leave the body to transfer to the next stage of our development as both a spiritual/alien life form. This development and rebirth allows mankind as we know it to develop to such an extent that our abilities are greatly developed over all other creatures. Thats what I know and want to believe."
