Iron Man writers on mystery Marvel film

Marvel.jpgIn July Justin Theroux was announced as the writer for Iron Man 2. He replaced two of the writers of the first film, Mark Fergus, Hawk Ostby. Now they have revealed they are working on different projects for Marvel.

It did seem a little strange that they weren't writing the sequel, but now I guess we know why. Question is, what are they working on?

With Jon Favreau, Robert Downey Jr, and Justin Theroux hard at work on Iron Man 2. Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, say they are working with Marvel on different projects. Most of the announced Marvel films already have writers attached, so what are they up to? They spoke to MTV Splash Page:

There are some really juicy [movies] that we are very much talking intensely with Marvel about. We’re like, ‘We’re the right guys for this one.’ We’re interested in working on a bunch of these other Marvel projections and everything in the Marvel canon is fair game. We have a lot of ideas about all this, but until they officially ask us to come do one of these we’ll keep our mouths closed about the actual ideas. It’s moving along nicely but nothing official yet. But, yes, we are planning on working on some of those movies. That much I’ll say.

Annoyingly secretive! I wonder if they are working on one the already announced films. Maybe The Avengers. Or is there another Marvel character who will be getting their own film. Any guesses who it might be?
