Disney are making an action adventure film especially for The Rock...

Keira Knightley, Eva Mendes, Sam Worthington and Guillaume Canet are starring in Last Night written and directed by Massy Tadjedin. The film tells the story of a married couple who are apart from a night when temptation comes their way. The husband takes a business trip with a colleague that he's attracted to while, at the same time, his wife meets her past love. The story from Variety. Thankfully it's not another costume drama for Knightley.

Robert Zemeckis is teaming up with Gil Kenan to adapt a children's novel by Artemis Fowl author Eoin Colfer for the big screen, and it'll be in the usual motion capture format. Yahoo News has the blurb for the story which is a swashbuckling tale of Conor Broekhart who is born in a hot air balloon. His family are close to the King, and when both his tutor and King are killed he is blamed, spends a few years in prison, and on his escape has to chose between overthrowing the government for what's right, or fleeing for his own safety.

Carrie Fisher, Jamie Chung, Audrina Patridge, Rumer Willis, Julian Morris, Leah Pipes, Margo Harshman and Briana Evigan are in various stages of negotiations and signing for the film Sorority Row, a remake of the horror The House on Sorority Row from 1983. The story is simple, accidental death of a house-sister, the other girls try to cover it up, and along comes a serial killer who you'll probably not know the identity of until the film is over. Oh dear. The sad news comes from The Hollywood Reporter.

Dwayne Johnson, The Rock, is getting real close with Disney as they are developing an action/adventure film for him to star in. It'll be inspired by the Disney theme park area, Tomorrowland. Jon Lucas and Scott Moore are writing the script according to Variety (no link given) through Sci Fi Wire.

Comments

The Yahoo News link point to a film called 'Airman' by Artemis Fowl 'author' Eoin Colfer.

Artemis fowl is about a young criminal genius who kidnaps a fairy and adventure ensues.

I would like to see both though.

Apologies Finny et al, my misleading wording there. I've just corrected it.
