Left Eye Lopes film?

MoniqueColeman.jpgThere's quite a bit of shameless promotion going on with this story, but if it works then why not? Monique Coleman of High School Musical fame has been saying that she would love to play the TLC performer Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in a biographical film of her life.

I don't actually think there's anything planned, but she's keen to do a film on the entire band, not just Lopez. The question is would there be an audience?

Monique Coleman certainly looks like she could carry the role off really well, but there would have to be a film for her to star in, and I don't think there is right now.

The story comes from the gossip news feed WENN through IMDB and has a quote from the star:

“I have aspirations to do the Tlc story. I've been doing a little research into them and I can see a little Left-Eye in here.”

That's it. However even without a film being mentioned I do think there's a fan base for a TLC story, especially considering their chart success and the tragic death of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.

What do you think, would you want to see a film about TLC?
