My Name is Bruce U.S. screenings
Fans of Bruce Campbell everywhere are eagerly awaiting the release of his latest film, My Name is Bruce. The film that sees him play a cinematic version of himself, the actor Bruce Campbell, who is pulled into saving a town from real life monsters based on his on screen acting persona, and of course he hasn't a clue.
Great sounding premise, and we're all eager to see it. Except we're not all in the U.S., and right now that's a shame since those are the only dates we have for the release and there's no word yet if it will ever see the light of day elsewhere. However I do have the dates here for the showings presented by Campbell himself.
From the blog of the writer, Mark Verheiden, comes the Bruce Campbell announcement of the following dates where he will appear and present all three evening's showings. Here's the man himself to explain:
“Hey, folks, here are the tour dates and venues for My Name is Bruce. Barring union strikes, hurricanes, flat tires or diptheria, I will be personally appearing at each of these cities to introduce the film and do a spirited Q&A afterward. Please bear in mind, this isn't a "signing," so I recommend that the only thing you bring is your smiling face. I will be doing the 3 major show every day - roughly the 7:00, 9:30 and midnight screenings I look forward to seeing you all there!”
...and with that let me lead you right onto the date listing...

Now, what I want to know is when will those outside the U.S. get to see the film? Are there any plans afoot to get the film released elsewhere in the world, or will we have to wait for a DVD release?
