Producer talks Wolverine Origin film
X Men Origins: Wolverine will be released in May next year, and new has been a little thin on the ground. Now one of the producers has been talking about what we can expect.
Lauren Shuler Donner pretty much sums it up in three words, and repeats them a lot.
For the uninitiated, X Men Origins: Wolverine, stars Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine from the X Men films. What can we expect from a film telling the back story of the mysterious Wolverine? Lauren Shuler Donner seems to have left her dictionary at home:
I guess it's closer to the first "X-Men" in tone because it's a little darker, but there's a lot of action. It's his origin story. It's really good. I've been in the editing room the last couple of weeks and I think that it's good and that audiences are going to like it. But it's a little darker. ...you haven't seen this side of him. It's darker and sadder and it's kick-ass. There's a ton of action. It's really kick-ass
So it's going to be darker, and will kick ass. At least she's talking in terms we can all understand. She also told Superherohype, that a Deadpool spin off may also be a possibility. But I don't really know who he is, so I'll reserve judgment. My knowledge of Wolverine is limited to the X Men films, so I'm looking forward to a film that will fill in some blanks. Does this sound like the Wolverine you're after?
