2:13 trailer online
2:13, which had the dreadful working title of 2wo THIR13N (my mate Dave will be driven mad by that) stars Teri Polo, Kevin Pollak and Dwight Yoakam, but is led by the lesser known talents of Mark Thompson and Mark Pellegrino.
It's a serial killer film, but don't let that off hand comment put you off, for this looks rather powerful and interesting. There's a bit more meat to this story and there sees to be plenty of tension and suspense – indeed the trailer is edited really well.
Here's the plot of the film from the official site:
A police profiler (Mark Thompson) has just returned from psychiatric leave only to find that he is caught up in a serial killer's rampage. Fighting to keep buried the trauma of his childhood, he must confront the all too-familiar flesh masks that the killer leaves on the faces of his victims. He must face his own demons along with the killer to save his small eroding existence.
There is a slight feel of television production to it, and I wasn't surprised to see that's where some of the main talent has come from and also to see the past careers of the writer and director, however the trailer suggests a lot more than would meet the eye by simply reading careers to date.
Have a look at the trailer over on the official site [Flash] through AITH. It's rather strong and I do like the way it's been edited. Of course there are the usual moments where I think they might have given a little too much away, but of course they could be playing with us.
I enjoyed the glibness of Mark Thompson's character in this trailer, and I'm warming to the idea. 2:13 anyone?
