There's a trailer online for Fanboys, well actually the second I've seen since the first I wrote about was back in 2006, almost to the day in fact (well eight days early). That old one is now unobtainable, but it was there. Thankfully there's a new one just released, and it does look like Fanboys could be a hell of a lot of fun, despite the long wait.

There are quite a few recognisable names reeled off during the trailer, and I won't spoil the surprise because some of them get superb introductions. This is definitely a trailer for those who are fans of the science fiction classics.

Fanboys stars Dan Fogler, Jay Baruchel, Kristen Bell, and some names that you might recognise from a famous film or two. It's basically the story of some “fanboys” - the word that is so misused these days to describe anyone that doesn't fit in with the speaker's viewpoint – who decide to try and storm the Skywalker Ranch and try and steal a print of Star Wars: Episode I before it's actually released.

Okay, looking at that idea now it seems ridiculous, after all they'll probably want to top themselves after seeing the film, but let's see how it plays out, and looking at the trailer I think it's going to play out just fine.
