Mystery Team trailer online
The trailer for a new comedy called Mystery Team is online and it looks rather funny as well as giving the audience something a little more unique than most films.
It comes from the writer, Dominic Dierkes, and writer/producer/director, Dan Eckman, of a short film called Checkout, both have had a little television experience since then, but this marks their first feature film.
The film follows a trio of grown men who were once young detectives, solving the mysteries that occurred to the kids around them. It was never anything too excessive, simple, childhood mysteries.
Now they're all grown up and they meet again deciding to recreate the group and camaraderie they once had, and so they start up their Mystery Team once again. Problem is now they're getting a real life mystery to solve, a murder, and they're approaching it with the same passion and innocence that they did when they were young.
The trailer looks like a lot of fun, and seems to be a mix between the feel of Brick and some comedy that I can't think of a good comparison to at the moment - you have any thoughts? Regardless, it's looking good.
You can see the trailer right here which was found through Collider. Oh and thanks to the Derrick comedy site for the image, there you can see the comedy team that are, Mystery Team, Donald Glover, D.C. Pierson and Dominic Dierkes:
