Gibson rejects Mad Max 4 script
Mad Max 4 seems to be one of those films that sits in the ether with not much happening on it. And after a long time going nowhere, it still appears to be stuck in neutral.
The director George Miller has talked about what the latest news is. And he hasn't given up hope yet.
There was a time that Mad Max 4 was ready to film, and Mel Gibson was onboard. A war in Namibia ended plans they had to make the sequel. Since then, George Miller had said Gibson was probably not going to be involved in Mad Max 4. However, he still had a fourth film planned, just not until he had completed some other projects though. That was about a year ago, with him planning on working on Mad Max 4, and Happy Feet 2.
Now Miller has told Dark Horizons, through Movies Online, that he is still trying to get the film made. He has passed a script on to Gibson, but he was not impressed.
Miller also admits that he’d like to work with Mel Gibson on something again and while Mel doesn’t want to do the Mad Max script he wrote, he hasn’t given up on that possibility just yet.
I suppose it could be the script that is the problem. Or it's the fact that Mel Gibson is still not interested in starring in another Mad Max film. It's still looking unlikely that we will see Mad Max 4. Do you want another one, with or without Mel Gibson?
