Jurassic Park 4 dead?
It would seem that the plans for a fourth Jurassic Park film are over, and frankly we should be thankful for that, after all what are they going to do this time? How about have a theme park built with man made creatures who turn against their makers? Oh, that's been the same story since Westworld.
The producers themselves broke the good news and saved us from another franchise which should have been over already.
Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy were talking at the press junket for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button when they revealed that plans for Jurassic Park IV had fallen through.
According to Coming Soon they said that the passing of Michael Crichton was perhaps a sign:
"No... I don't know. You know, when Crichton passed away, I sorta felt maybe that's it. Maybe that's a sign that we don't mess with it."
A fourth film has been in development in some ways for nigh on four years, and I doubt we'll see it happen now unless they come up with something special and innovative, not just the same idea again - you mean there was another island?!
