The Day the Earth Stood Still is a film that really has me perplexed, for I'm not sure if it's going to turn out to be a standard blockbuster or something with a little more meat, because the trailers I've seen to date suggest both.

The clips to date do suggest something rather stronger than the standard blockbuster, something with a little more gusto to it than a disaster/end of the world film. I do hope there is because the cast and the original story show that there could be a lot more.

Did you notice one thing though? The official poster I've been sent, sure you can't see the detail, but who is the only named actor there? Not Jennifer Connelly the Oscar winning actress, no, Keanu Reeves who wants to play Bill and Ted again.
