The Expendables script review

DolphLundgren.jpgStallone's script for The Expendables has been read and is reviewed online, although it's fair to say that this is an early draft when the final huge battle scene is summed up in a couple of lines.

The anticipation of seeing Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Forest Whitaker, Jason Statham, Randy Couture and possibly Sandra Bullock all on screen together is looking like it might be met by the script itself.

There are some weak points in the review, but what becomes clear is that this isn't a complete parody nor is it a complete reality based story, it's somewhere in between and it looks like it's not going to be afraid to poke a little fun at itself either.

The best bit though? Dolph Lundgren fighting Jet Li. Sold.

You can read the review over at AICN through Jo Blo and see for yourself what the feel of the film might be. It's quite good because it's not a complete reveal of the story but does look at some of the characters and what role they might play.

I'm really looking forward to The Expendables, and I've already said much more than Inglourious Basterds which I can't help but compare it to.

It just goes to show that you can't be too careful.
