One of my favourite comedy films may be getting a sequel. Ben Stiller is mulling over a second Zoolander film. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it made me laugh.

Seven years after the original, and Stiller seems to be taking his time over this one.

Zoolander starred Ben Stiller as male model Derek Zoolander. After losing his crown as the world's top male fashion model, to Owen Wilson's Hansel, he finds himself out of favour. Then when his family rejects him, and he loses his male model buddies in a freak gasoline accident, he hits rock bottom. The evil fashion mogul Mugatu (Will Ferrell) steps in, and Zoolander unwittingly finds himself involved in a plot to murder the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Mostly to ensure that he can still get cheap child labour in the country.

Partly due to my dislike of the fashion industry, and my car crash TV fascination with America's Next Top Model, I found the first pretty funny. Now Ben Stiller says he would like to do a sequel, but it has to be good.

I’ve been trying to get Zoolander 2 together and we’ve had a few scripts. I feel that is the sequel I really would like to do some day because I like the original and I would make sure it was something new and worthy of it first.

That quote comes from Cinema Blend. Seems he thinks he is close to getting one together. And as director/writer/star of the first, it sounds like he wants to get it right. I could watch a second one easily, we all need a laugh now and then. Any Zoolander fans out there? Would you want a sequel?
