Clips 'n' Pics: The Descent 2, [Rec] 2, ...of the Dead, Taken
There's a bunch of clips online for films as well as a one set of photos, none of which are particularly exciting on their own, but enough for a quick round up and to have a dig at for lack of content.
First up there are some production photos for The Descent: Part 2...
Then there are some trailers for [Rec] 2, George A. Romero's ...of the Dead and Taken...
The Descent: Part 2 is just retelling the first story in The Descent (Filmstalker review) as the sole survivor is taken back into the caves by a group of investigators who all start getting killed by the creatures and she has to fight her way out again to safety - perhaps there's a franchise here where she just keeps getting put back in?
Well there are some production photos online at the photographer Ollie Upton's site through /Film which do look good though, and suggest that it's going to have a similar tone and style to the original, if even some of the same moments and shots.
I can't embed the clip for ...of the Dead from , the latest film from George A. Romero where he beats his zombie genre to death with more of the same. I have to say from watching this trailer I'm really confused, all we get are zombies walking and then being killed, with the odd shot of a human being eaten and the revealing line "we have to get them to eat something other than us"...oh dear me, it looks terrible.
The first teaser has appeared online for [Rec] 2, the sequel to [Rec] (not the Hollywood version Quarantine), and it really shows you nothing at all. It's here merely to say "hey look, we're doing a sequel", and really that's enough. The clip is below through HorrorMovies.ca.
There's a five minute Taken (Filmstalker review) clip online, and for those of you who haven't seen it already it might prove an incentive to do so. I saw it some time ago and really did enjoy it, a more realistic action thriller with a superb drive that never gives up. Well worth seeing. Here's the clip through Coming Soon.
