Franklyn trailer online

Franklyn.jpgWe have a trailer for Franklyn, which stars Ryan Phillippe, Eva Green and Sam Riley. The film is set in modern day London, as well as a futuristic metropolis.

The trailer looks like something a bit different. You can take a look inside.

Franklyn is directed by Gerald McMorrow, and stars Ryan Phillippe as a masked vigilante. The plot from IMDB sounds like this:

Preest is a masked vigilante detective, searching for his nemesis on the streets of Meanwhile City, a monolithic fantasy metropolis ruthlessly governed by faith and religious fervor. Esser is a broken man, searching for his wayward son amongst the rough streets of London's homeless. Milo is a heartbroken thirty-something desperately trying to find a way back to the purity of first love. Emilia is a beautiful art student; her suicidal art projects are becoming increasingly more complex and deadly.

The film is released in February in the UK, but no other releases have been announced yet.The trailer is below from IGN, through /Film. The masked vigilante reminds me of Rorshach for some reason. I'm sure that's because I've been watching too much Watchmen footage. What do you think of it?

That really has caught my attention. I can see similarities with Watchmen and Dark City, but the plot is intriguing and the look different enough to have caught me.
