Full G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, teaser online

GIJoe.jpgSuddenly, just after the twelve second clip that shows us little was released, the full teaser trailer for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra that will show at the Superbowl, and it shows way more than the silly little short we saw earlier today.

This trailer shows us that the film is actually going to be huge on effects, as can be seen by the main footage in the film, the explosion and falling of the Eiffel Tower. Apart from that there's not that much of the G.I. Joe team.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra looks set to show how Cobra, the enemy organisation that G.I. Joe fight, become so deadly, and perhaps their first deadly plans to destroy the world. As you can see Christopher Eccleston plays Destro, the evil mastermind behind it all, good choice, and another cracking choice is Dennis Quaid as the lead of the team General Hawk. However we don't see much else than a quick shot of Channing Tatum.

Nice as they all are, that's not the point of the clip, it's to say “look, we have made the Eiffel Tower fall over and it looks really realistic and we can deliver a couple of big actors delivering two lines, but hey, look at that great CGI again!”

Okay, enough of that. You can see the teaser trailer embedded over at Superhero Hype or hit one of these links to see the high-definition versions – 480p, 720p or 1080p.

What do you think? Another big CGI soulless film or something exciting with some depth?

Who thinks this looks like a live action Team America: World Police? My 10yo tells me we are still seeing it anyhow..
